Offering a rigorous Full-time MiM program, HHL equips students with the tools to excel in their careers. Its specialized Career Development Team blends personalized coaching, practical workshops, and industry connections to prepare students for success in competitive global markets.

The school’s small class sizes, international environment, and emphasis on practical learning foster a collaborative and enriching experience. With a strong alumni network and strategic partnerships, HHL ensures graduates are ready to lead in an evolving global economy.

Individualized Coaching: Your Career Roadmap

One of the highlights of HHL’s Career Services is its focus on individualized career coaching. Career Advisor of the Full-time MiM Program, Anett Hughes, highlights that she works with students from the start of their study journey until the end to ensure they have optimal guidance and support. She says, “I coach students on any career-related topics that they may have throughout the whole program straight from the beginning until they graduate.” (00:01)

The school places significant emphasis on one-on-one career coaching. “One of the main activities I would say that we do is the individual career coaching sessions,” Anett explains. (00:15

These sessions allow students to identify their skills, values, and interests, forming the foundation of a fulfilling career path.

“To be able to have a successful career, what they really need to know is: what are my skills and my interests? It’s really the basis for a successful career: the self-assessment,” she explains. (01:00

This personalized approach ensures that each student builds clarity and confidence in their career trajectory.

Group Workshops: Practical Career Preparation

In addition to coaching, HHL offers a series of group workshops that address critical aspects of career development. “We also do group workshops on topics that are a little bit more general, like application workshops and interview workshops, or career orientation workshops,” Anett notes. (00:21)

These workshops cover practical skills, such as crafting impactful resumes, mastering job interviews, and discovering career options that best suit you. By fostering collaboration, they also encourage students to learn from one another and gain fresh perspectives on their career journeys.

Recruiting Events: Networking Opportunities

HHL’s recruiting events are optional but highly popular among students. “We organize a lot of recruiting events. Again, that’s all optional, but a lot of students pick up on that so they can meet companies here on campus and recruiters,” explains Anett. (00:28)

These events connect students with potential employers, industry professionals, and alumni, providing insights into career opportunities. From career fairs to company presentations and alumni networking events, these interactions help students refine their career goals and build relationships with recruiters.

Another unique offering is the opportunity for company visits. “We organize company visits, so all this together really helps the students find their way a little bit, get ideas about which kind of employers are out there, and which path could be the right one,” Anett highlights. (00:40)

Participating in these events can lead to potential future internships, job offers, and a deeper understanding of industry trends.

Career Outcomes: A Launchpad for Success

The strong career outcomes of HHL graduates demonstrate the effectiveness of HHL’s Career Services. 98% of graduates find employment within three months after graduation, and 50% of MiM graduates start a career in the coveted consulting sector. Many others secure positions in financial services, including investment banking and private equity. Alternatively, HHL’s entrepreneurial focus inspires many graduates to launch startups or become CEOs.

“About 50% of the graduates go into consulting, and that hasn’t changed for years, actually. Apart from that, […] financial services are also very popular, especially here in investment banking or private equity,” says Anett. (01:37)

The program boasts exceptional job placement rates. “A lot of them even secure their jobs before they finish their degree,” Anett explains. (02:24)

This reflects the excellent career tools made available by HHL’s Career Services that help to support and guide students towards a successful career after graduation.

Germany: A Diverse Job Market for International Students

Germany’s strong economy and diverse job market make it a top destination for career-driven students.

“About 92% [of our international students] also start their career actually in Germany […] because the economic situation is usually quite good in Germany, the job market is quite good in Germany,” Anett highlights. (02:30)

HHL supports international students in navigating the local job market. “We’re happy to say that about 99, if not 100%, of the international students actually do stay in Germany and find a job in Germany straight after their degree,” Anett proudly shares. (02:54)

HHL ensures that both international and local students successfully transition from student life into working life and have the best chance for success in their career trajectories.
