Location

Leiden University’s original campus in Leiden consists of modern buildings scattered throughout the illustrious city. Public transport is easily accessible and takes you all over the city and the campus itself is well within walking distance of the station. 

The university’s campus in The Hague has been a staple of Dutch education for over 20 years and has grown to contain all the modern facilities and world class faculty Leiden University offers throughout both of its campuses. Approximately 7,000 students attend the university’s campus in The Hague. 

Accreditations

All degree programs at Leiden University are accredited by the Accreditation Organization of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO). NVAO, set up by the governments of the Netherlands and Flanders, is an independent accreditation organization that assesses the quality of higher education in the Netherlands and Flanders. 

Programs

Leiden University offers almost 80 English taught master’s programs, lectured by leading researchers providing high-quality education. Master’s programs at Leiden University are available at both of their locations, in The Hague and Leiden.

Fun fact

Leiden University’s Knowledge Center of Photography offers photography collections, the oldest photo historical photography collection in the Netherlands containing culturally historic changes from 1839 until today. A Master’s program in Film and Photography Studies at Leiden University covers the history and theory of film and photography. The School often collaborates with Fotomusuem Den Haag and International Photo Festival Leiden for photography exhibitions and providing opportunities to meet experts and photographers.
