UvA offers scholarships to students with a non-EU nationality which include the: Amsterdam Merit Scholarship, Orange Tulip Scholarship, and the Amsterdam Economics & Business Talent Fund.
The scholarships are aimed towards students with outstanding academic profiles from international backgrounds.
Three UvA academics have recently received Rubicons grants from NWO/ZonMw to aid in conducting research at foreign research institutions. The three UvA researchers are: chemist Tassel Bouwens, legal scholar Laura Burgers, and physician Sanne Van Neerven. The Rubicon grant provides opportunities for young academics to perform groundbreaking research at foreign institutions that offer the best environment for the specific type of research.
