School

In other words, theoretical content is combined with practice during the completion of real projects in collaboration with various sector companies.
Location
IED Barcelona conducts all of its lectures at two lecture halls named Point One and Point Two, both located in the Gracia neighborhood where a former textile factory was reformed and restored to become one of Spain’s most recognized universities.
IED Barcelona has recently developed the new Higher School of Design with four floors and a priority on flexible spaces across all floors. The building is home to students in Fashion, Design, Visual Communication and Management for Creative Industries.
Accreditations
The Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU Catalunya) rewarded IED Barcelona a POSITIVE evaluation made of the design of the internal quality assurance system “Centra autoritzat d’ensenyaments artístics superiors de disseny IED Barcelona, within the framework of the AUDITEAS program.
Programs
IED Barcelona offers two Masters degree programs: Master in Design Management and a Master in Fashion Management. The Master of Design and Innovation Programs (MDI) are available for national and foreign professionals and graduates. The programs are aimed towards individuals looking to reflect and grow professionally while securing new opportunities and connections.
IED Barcelona also offers a wide range of Professional Masters programs for individuals seeking to further their professional profile and development.
Scholarships
IED Barcelona is currently offering 36 study scholarships for Master’s degree applicants ranging from 50% coverage to 100% coverage. Applicants can be submitted into either an English or French program but must submit an application before the 25th of April. Scholarships are announced on Friday, 20th May on the IED Barcelona website.
Fun fact
IED Barcelona runs several projects throughout the academic year, one of which was the Project: SEAT. The challenge was to design a new transportation vehicle/service for a new urban environment in 2035. An IED Barcelona alumni presented the “Seat Mergo”, a vehicle designed to be a solution to modern society’s individual mobility issues in the midst of a rapidly growing population.
