Why Sandra chose the Berlin School of Business and Innovation to work towards a career in hospitality

Sandra Akunna Ejiofor has always loved traveling and had a keen interest in the world around her. It’s only natural that she wanted to turn that passion into a career in tourism and hospitality.

When looking into different academic opportunities, the Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI) stood out to her because it offered an MA in International Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management.

After starting her MA program, Sandra was even more impressed with the faculty at the BSBI. She says that her “lecturers were very approachable. They were available when [we] needed them. [They always sent] instant and very swift responses with emails, assignments, and corrections.” (00:40)

Now that she’s finished her program, Sandra feels that “BSBI has actually given [her] a good degree.” (01:26) They’ve provided her with the knowledge and skills she needs. Now she just has to put everything into practice in the real world.

The BSBI’s MA in International Tourism, Hospitality & Event Management

  • Entrepreneurship in tourism & events

Student life in Berlin

Other than their fantastic academic programs, BSBI is also located in a bustling, cosmopolitan city. Berlin is a great place for any student to spend a few years living, working, and studying.

Sandra points out that living in Berlin can be relatively inexpensive, which makes it ideal for students on a budget. She explains that “the cost of living compared to other major cities is quite affordable for students.” (02:07)

Berlin is also a very interesting place to live because of its multicultural atmosphere. It’s easy for international students to move there and find their place because there are so many other residents from around the world.

Sandra describes, “You can find English-speaking people, you can find different languages, you can find different food, different things, different parties.” (01:56) Basically, it’s a city that has something for everyone and is just downright fun to spend time in.
