AMBS is featured in the world’s leading rankings and is one of a small group of business schools to be triple accredited by AMBA, AACSB International and EQUIS. In 2022, the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking placed AMBS 5th in the UK, 12th in Europe and 43rd in the world. AMBS sit at the top of the Environmental, Social & Governance rank nationally and 5th globally.

Programs
From business analytics to operations and human resource management to innovation and entrepreneurship, AMBS offers 17 courses students can choose from under the umbrella of 5 business Master’s degrees. In a handful of courses, students can decide to study full-time or part-time, of course this has an effect on how long it will take to obtain your master’s degree. Studying part-time will double the time it takes to complete the course but offer you more time to engage in your own ambitions.
Scholarships
There are several Master’s funding options for the courses at AMBS and certain factors will depend on whether you’re a student from the UK, EU or international student from outside the EU. The North American Foundation Awards for Postgraduate Study at the University of Manchester (NAFUM) is a Master’s scholarship aimed towards applicants from the USA containing up to $7,500 as contribution towards tuition fees.
Students applying from Germany can apply for BAföG funding in the form of a grant, subsidy, state or bank loan. The school also offers Sport Scholarships to meet the needs of students balancing their academic life with their aspirations to continue progressing in the sports world.
Fun fact
In 2015, the school was renamed Alliance Manchester Business School in recognition of Lord Alliance's £15 million donation and his long-standing relationship with the university and business school.
In March of 2022 AMBS appointed world-renowned regional economist, Professor Philip McCann, as Chair of Urban and Regional Economics at Alliance Manchester Business School. The school hosts several networking events throughout the year, some available online such as the ‘Women Leading in Business’ event occurring online on March 23rd 2022.
