Fun fact
Vancouver is an extremely young city as it was only incorporated in 1886 and unexpectedly shares the same anniversary with the establishment of Coca-Cola. In the first year of its incorporation, in June, the city was burnt down in the Great Vancouver Fire leaving only a handful of buildings to survive the flames. Despite its age and troubles, Vancouver has become a beacon of a satisfactory standard of living coupled with a thriving music and television industry that have bestowed the nickname ‘Hollywood of the North’ upon the city.
