BI Norwegian Business School is an independent, not-for-profit foundation and the main provider of research based knowledge on business and management disciplines in Norway.
Location
BI Norwegian Business School has 4 campuses: Campus Oslo, with over 14,000 students, offers all programs and courses available at BI. Campus Bergen, the 2nd largest campus (outside of Oslo), is newly renovated, modern and located in an active student environment.
Campus Trondheim is amidst a growing student environment and with the city being home to over 35,000 students, Trondheim looks to become the Nordic region’s best student environment. Campus Stavanger, the campus for solely Norwegian taught programs and courses, is the smallest campus where approximately 700 students spend their student life.
Accreditations
BI Norwegian Business School is the only Norwegian business school to have received the ‘Triple Crown’ accreditation hence; the three most prestigious international accreditations: the European Quality Improvement Systems (EQUIS), the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and the British AMBA (The Association of MBAs).
Less than 1% of business schools globally have been awarded the ‘Triple Crown’ which reflect BI’s commitment to upholding its rigorous standards of education. This all leads to benefit the student as their degree will be recognised and highly valued all over the world, skyrocketing their opportunities of employment.
Programs
BI offers full-time as well as part-time master’s programs around subjects like Applied Economics, Digital Communication Management, Finance and 10 more programs designed around an innovative curriculum to equip students with the ability to succeed in business.
BI also offers two master’s degree programs taught in Norwegian: Accounting & Auditing and Law & Business. Students admitted into BI have entered an exclusive company that consists of top-of-the-line learners, researchers and teachers.
Scholarships
For Master of Science applicants, BI has 6 scholarships on offer: BI Presidential Scholarship; Master of Science International Scholarship; A. Wilhelmsen Foundation Scholarship; Master of Science International Scholarship; BI-Luiss Joint Masters in Marketing Scholarship; and the Women in Finance & Tech Master Scholarship.
Taking a closer look at the BI Presidential Scholarship, only candidates with an overall GPA of A on the ECTS scale or the equivalent top-level grade from international grade scales. Candidates must be admitted to a Master of Science degree program or are currently enrolled in/have completed the 3rd year of BI’s Siviløkonom program. The scholarship is open to international and Norwegian applicants.
Fun fact
In cooperation with BI’s housing providers, international students are offered a housing guarantee in which they can choose from several different housing locations. These housing locations can be at the edge of the forest near serene lakes, or in the city center surrounded by cafés and theaters. International students at BI Campus Oslo must apply through Pre-Application for Housing, however, students at Campus Bergen can follow this link to find out more about housing.
