Location
ESMT Berlin is located in the city center of the German capital. Its Schlossplaltz campus offers students an exciting experience in one of the most unique cities in the world. Berlin has a high standard of living, well-connected public transportation, and a variety of social and cultural events. Berlin is also cheaper than most other capital cities, making it an attractive study destination for international students.
Master’s graduates can also enjoy Berlin’s bustling job market, home to diverse businesses from multinational companies like Daimler and Zalando to exciting startups like HelloFresh and Blinkist.
ESMT Berlin also has an office in Lujiazui, a financial district in Shanghai.
Accreditations
ESMT Berlin is one of only four business schools in Germany to hold the prestigious “triple-crown” accreditation. This means the school is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), and the Association of MBAs (AMBA).
ESMT has also been accredited by the Foundation for International Business Accreditation Administration (FIBAA) and the German Council of Science and Humanities (Wissenschaftsrat).
Programs
ESMT Berlin offers three Master programs; Master in Global Management, Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Master in Analytics and Artificial Intelligence. Master (MSc) programs are designed to offer the ultimate combination of specializations, educational rigor, and entrepreneurial expertise. Each program will help you refine your skills and develop the foundation to make your mark in a corporate or startup business. These 3 Master Programs are full-time, 24-month program is designed for candidates with a previous degree as well as an international outlook, high potential, willingness to learn, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Master in Global Management (MGM): The ESMT Berlin Master in Global Management equips you to live up to these challenges by combining modern methods and theories with practice immersion - all with a global outlook. Understand how businesses shape the global economy and how managers and strategy consultants can contribute to making a positive impact. The ESMT Berlin Master in Global Management program has moved up in the Financial Times ranking and is now among the top ten master in management programs globally.The program retains the top place among programs in Germany and moves to number three for international mobility.
Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MIE): This program introduces you to the state-of-the-art in creating and transforming modern businesses through an intensive, interdisciplinary curriculum. In collaboration with Vali Berlin, ESMT's Entrepreneurship Hub, the Master in Innovation and Entrepreneurship program offers a unique learning experience that combines theory and practice.
Master in Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (MAAI): The ESMT Berlin Master in Analytics and Artificial Intelligence is designed to give you the skills to work at the intersection of analytics and management. Through this program, you will learn to leverage your quantitative skills and merge them with the managerial vision required to create value through data-driven solutions.You will be equipped to lead the continuous transformation process that will shape the future of business.
Applications open on October 1, 2024. The program will start on September 2025.
Scholarships
ESMT Berlin offers discount on early application and partial scholarships based on region merit and leadership potential. This includes a €3,000 discount,if applicants apply by early application deadline (March 31st), the 30% / Women’s Scholarship (awarded to female candidates with proven leadership ability), the Net Impact Sustainability Scholarship (awarded to candidates with a demonstrated commitment to sustainability), and the 720+ GMAT Scholarship (awarded to candidates who submit a GMAT score of 720 or above).
Candidates can apply for a scholarship by completing an extra essay during the standard Master application process.
Fun fact
The Social Impact Project (SIP) is a five-week project in ESMT Berlin’s Master in Global Management (MGM). The project takes place in the second year of the program, in which students must work in groups and serve as consultants for an organization with social impact objectives.
Students have completed social impact projects around the world in various sectors, such as optimizing marketing and operations at coffee distribution startup Bean Voyage in Costa Rica, identifying growth opportunities in the Greek entrepreneurship scene for PwC, assessing the impact of social startup investments for the Lotus Fund in Vietnam, and analyzing sustainability and development projects at Audi in Germany.
Through these projects, MGM students develop critical skills such as leadership, problem-solving, and project management, preparing them to make a real impact in their lives and careers.
