Location

Hanken School of Economics is located in Helsinki and Vaasa, both of which are becoming increasingly recognized as student cities with Hanken welcoming a record number of students in 2022. Helsinki is a seaside city with plenty of activities, nature, and culture to dive into. The capital of Finland offers a very clean and safe environment and all the modern luxuries just a few minutes away from some of the most exquisite natural attractions in the world. 


Vaasa is the second largest student city in the country and Hanken’s campus sits in a beautiful green space right next to the sea. The city has a versatile business structure and several workplaces available in all kinds of industries. 

Accreditations

Hanken School of Economics has achieved “Triple Crown” status, to be accredited by the three most prestigious international accreditation organizations: EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA an achievement only one percent of business schools worldwide can boast. 


The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) is the longest serving, and most renowned global accreditation body for business schools. Acquiring accreditation from AACSB reflects Hanken’s dedication and commitment to delivering the highest quality of business education, so students can rest assured their efforts will be recognised in the global workforce after graduation. 

Programs

Hanken School of Economics offers Master’s Degree Programs in: Business and Management; Financial Analysis & Business Development; Economics; and Intellectual Property Law. 


A MSc in Economics and Business Administration takes two years to complete and throughout the program coursework is completed alongside students studying in Swedish. Further along in the program, students are strongly encouraged to travel abroad on an exchange trip, the same can be said for all Master’s Degree programs at Hanken.

Scholarships

Hanken offers merit-based scholarships for prospective students and 2nd year students. The Hanken Premium GBSN Scholarship covers a student's full tuition fee and 8000 EUR/year living expenses for two years as does the Hanken Honors Scholarship. 


The Finland Scholarship covers a student's full tuition fee for their first academic year including a 5000 EUR re-location grant. 


The Hanken Honors Second Year Scholarship offers a full tuition waiver for a student's second year at Hanken School of Economics with specific requirements made available on the website.
