School

Location

WPI’s Business School is located in WPI’s second building, Washburn Shops. Constructed in 1868, thousands of WPI students began learning woodworking and ironworking under the influence of professional mechanics. Today the building is home to WPI’s Business School students, world-class faculty, and modern facilities; yet the building’s original function and rich history can still be seen in the hand-placed bricks that make up its façade. 

Worcester is home to 38,000+ students resulting in a cozy college town with plenty of attractions across the city: wildlife sanctuaries; botanical gardens; diners; indie marketplaces, and much more. 

Accreditations

WPI Business school is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), one of the world’s leading and largest business education alliances. AACSB provides rigorous quality examinations and has been synonymous with the highest standards in business education for over 100 years. 

WPI Business school is also accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), a specialized accreditor in applied science, computing, engineering and engineering technology. With these accreditations students can be confident that the program meets standards of excellence that produce graduates with an elite set of skills prepared to enter the global workforce.

Masters Degree Programs at WPI’s Business school dive deep into management, entrepreneurship, information technology and operations management. So, whether you are a professional looking to embark on a new journey or aiming for an elite credential early in your career, WPI’s Business School will challenge you to fulfill your academic and professional potential. 

WPI’s Business School offers 5 Masters Degree Programs: Business Analytics; Information Technology; Innovation with User Experience; Management; Operations and Supply Chain Analytics. All programs except Management (MS) are available on-campus as well as online, whereas Management (MS) is solely available on-campus. 

Scholarships

WPI’s Business School offers a range of scholarships and outside scholarship opportunities.  All students applying to WPI’s Business School are automatically considered for a merit-based scholarship therefore, no additional application is necessary. Scholarships range from $1,000 to $10,000 for MS applicants. The school has recently implemented the Dean’s Diversity Scholarship, where students are to write a 1-2 page reflective essay on the prompt given. 

Fun fact

WPI has started many initiatives involving the betterment of society including the Be Well Together initiative. WPI makes certain students, faculty and staff have access to any forms of support they need within the various support groups, student support networks and even an after-hours telehealth line. The Student Development and Counseling Center at WPI offers free guidance, support, and counseling for single and group sessions. Appointments can be made online.
