School

The Carey Business School was founded in 2007 at Johns Hopkins University. The school’s relative newness has allowed it to nimbly adapt its programs to adapt to current trends. Carey continues the tradition of research Johns Hopkins is famous for. Carey's faculty are interdisciplinary researchers tackling some of the most pressing challenges. Under their guidance, students master the interdisciplinary approach to problem-solving.

Location

Carey’s main campus is housed in Legg Mason Tower in the East Harbor neighborhood of Baltimore. The tower affords spectacular waterfront views of the port. Formerly the industrial district of the city, East Harbor has been transformed into a modern business district. 


Carey’s second location is in nearby Washington, D.C. Not only is it the political capital of the United States, but it is also home to world-class museums like the National Gallery of Art and the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History - both of which are free to visit.

Accreditations

The Carey Business School is accredited by the Association of Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Less than five percent of business schools are able to earn this accreditation. 

Programs

Carey offers Master of Science degrees in Finance, Marketing, Information Systems, Health Care Management, Real Estate and Infrastructure, and Business Analytics and Risk Management. 


Except for the MSc in Information Systems, which is only available as a full-time one-year program, the degrees have a part-time option that’s completed in two years.

Scholarships

There are a number of scholarships available to students at Carey. Most are endowed scholarships that all applicants are considered for. Others are awarded by the Office of Financial Aid and have different requirements and application processes. You can visit the school’s website to learn more about the endowed scholarships.

Fun fact

Johns Hopkins was founded in 1976 and is America’s first research university. Over the years it has become known for its public health, nursing, biomedical engineering, and medicine programs - so much so that a quarter of the Carey Business School pursue degrees related to the business of health.
