Questrom students undergo several activities on-campus and off-campus. From participating in international case competitions and conducting research with some of the nations top researchers to cheering on the Red Sox at Fenway Park alongside hundreds of other Questrom students. 


Boston provides a lifestyle of liberty to its residents and encourages learning and innovation. The city has research centers scattered around stunning urban spaces and green spaces. Culture is at the core of everything in Boston with a limitless supply of art, exquisite local food, and die-hard sports fans, the city leaves little to desire. 

Boston University Questrom School of Business is accredited by the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). AACSB is one of the world’s most prestigious and longest-running international accreditation bodies and the accreditation places Questrom among the top business schools globally. 


The accreditation reflects Questrom’s commitment to educational excellence and highlights Questrom’s mission: to refine and adapt programs and curriculum in accordance with the ever-changing world of business, a mission they have and will continue to complete successfully. 

Questrom School of Business offers three MS programs, in: Business Analytics (MSBA), Mathematical Finance & Financial Technology (MSMFT), and Management Studies (MSMS). 


The MS programs are designed to focus on the world’s fastest-growing business sectors and are aimed towards individuals with a passion for business looking to further their professional and academic profile, or for a recent non-business graduate seeking to begin a new journey. 

The Dean’s Scholarship program provides a limited number of scholarships for applicants with an outstanding academic profile and the ability to contribute to diversity in the classroom. A separate application is not needed as all admitted candidates are considered for the merit awards. 


Several state and private organizations offer scholarships to students who have demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence, Questrom strongly encourages you to look into external scholarship opportunities

Dirk Hackbarth, a Professor of Finance at Questrom School of business was announced the winner of the 2021 William F. Sharpe Award for Scholarship in Financial Research by the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. Hackbarth and co-authors received the award for their work “Granularity of Corporate Debt”, a piece on whether firms spread out debt-maturity dates (granularity of corporate debt).
